Cool Let Slash & Burn or Slash & Stash again!

~We did this last year and it was pretty motivating! [ame="http://www.frugalvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?p=706357#post706357"]Anyone interested in doing a May "Slash-n-Burn" with me? - Frugal Village Forums[/ame]
Personally I need to Slash and Stash to finish off my 6 month Emergency Fund. So for May:
    Slash:
-Back to running a limited amount of loads in the dishwasher. I think I'll go with 10 more runs this month.
-3 days a week the computer doesn't get turned on until dh comes home.
-Transition to no dryer use by the end of the month.
    -Reduce trips in my car.
    Stash:
    -Deposit $500 in the EF.

    Anyone wanna join me?~

Count me in! I need to do some slashing & stashing of my own !

    Slash:
Cut mileage in car to 150 miles per week! Means I'm going to have to be extra careful about what we are doing!
Electricity bill...by another $10 at least! No lights on until it is actually dark enough to need them. Limit washer use to full loads.

    Stash:
25% of my casino winnings from Saturday.

~So far I'm doing well. I was successful with no daytime computer on 3 days this week so I'll do that again next week. I made no trips with the family car from Monday-Friday. I've been able to stretch one tank of gas for a month now! I also air-dried 2 loads of laundry indoors this week. The dishwasher thing is NOT going well. I've ran a load every day and not handwashed anything. At least it's on air-dry. So I saved about $3.08 in electricity this week and about $15 in gasoline. Seems like small numbers but over a month would be a savings of $13.28 electricity and $65 gasoline. Next week I WILL handwash 4 loads of dishes(savings of $2.50), air-dry 4 loads of laundry(savings of $3.80) and continue computer off times(savings of $1.19).~

    I'm in!
    Slash:
    1) save extra water from shower/vegetable washing to water plants
    2) sell baby's crib (no longer needed)
    3) don't eat out for the rest of May!
    4) continue hanging laundry on line & do less laundry in the first place!
    Stash:
    $300 in EF

    Great idea!

I'm actually going to start this now and go until June 22nd. The kids will be just out of school and I want some summer fun money saved up. I have a little bit of babysitting money that will be coming in and I'm going to stash it. I also want to only fill up the van with gas once this month.

I'm going to try to stash $400.

I am going to join in for June.
I am going to air dry at least 4 loads of laundry a week.
Set up a rain catcher to use to water my plants.
Have the tv on for no more than 3 hrs a day (during the day), cant control husband on this one.
Try to limit AC use---try not to use it,but never cut it on until after 1pm and leave it at 76 degrees.
Also have a tag sale to use for funding the emergency fund and stocking up on groceries.

~Yey! Thanks for joining me everyone! This past week I airdried 3 loads of laundry, handwashed 2 huge loads of dishes, and left my computer off for 3 days. I almost hit all my goals. I don't know if I'll be able to stash after all this month because a friend of ours asked us for a small loan. I'll have a clearer picture of what's in our checking account after I pay the end-of-the-month bills.~
