    Default June, 2008 challenge - One income living.

    Hi everyone,

    My challenge to myself in June, 2008 is to live off of one income. I choose my fiance's income because he gets paid twice a month where I am only paid monthly. Also he is paid slightly less than I do so it's a greater goal for me.

    An article from MSNBC inspired me.. I can't post the url for it yet unfortunately.

    For me the challenge is to just live off the one income, any credit card debts will come out of my paycheck but debts such as mortgage, car payment etc will be included in his.


    Anyone interested in joining me in June?

    We actually did this for a couple of years before retirement. It was a great experiment that allowed us to save and to tweak our spending habits before retirement actually set in.

    Let us know how it goes for you; perhaps a monthly update??

    I'm in for the month of June. Will use my husband paycheck. This will be a big challenge because we have a trip planned for this month.

    LOL, I like Lady-V am already living off one paycheck but I wish you and everyone else who joins the challenge good wishes. It certainly can be done.

    This is an outstanding challenge idea. I only wish we had our spending under enough control to do this. We're working on it though...
