No drive weekend challenge
Lately, I find myself driving to the thrift stores just for something to do. Instead of taking care of the multitude of tasks and projects that need done here at home. Yesterday, as I made another trip I promised myself that I would not move my car 1 inch this weekend and would instead stay home and do my chores. No spending and no gas plus a livable home!
Anyone else planning to use no car this weekend and save those gallons of gas!

i also will run to a thrift store just to wander around. I do have plans for tonight but today and tomorrow i plan on staying put. Not only to conserve gas and no spending i have lots of housework to catch up on since last weekend i was very busy. I try hard to have one day on the weekends with no driving. Great challenge. Enjoy your day

We have to drive to family this weekend so I can't. But since school let out I have been driving as little as possible. We got gas on the 11th and I'll have to probably fill up on Monday. I am very pleased with that!
Good luck with your challenge!Tami

i'm in on this challenge. I'm going to try to stay put all day today and tomorrow. Just need to make one trip but I'm planning on doing everything while I'm out and then heading home and staying put.

I last got gas on June 9 and I have about 3/8 of a tank left until next Friday. I will be staying put this weekend! It is amazing how much I have been getting done around the house!

Well I did it for Saturday but sunday just went down the tubes. MIL called and invited us to her house for dinner. We have not had a visit with her for at least a month so I felt strongly that I should accept. There is a CVS on the way so I may stop there for a few of the deals. I guess I made half my challenge and got a free dinner out of the deal so it may end up a wash. LOL

Not possible much for me. DH and I will be able to do no driving days after the kids go to their dads Tuesday. DD1 (lives with me full time) is going to be gone for just over a month. I think DH and I will spend some days at home - not going anywhere - but some days we will be doing major work on our business (selling Avon).

This is a great challenge and gets me thinking about those little trips to the store up the street and how to even avoid them.
We normally do not go anywhere on the weekends but Dh had to go help a friend for about 4 hours on Saturday. Today will be a no-drive day. We normally only leave the house one day a week.

WOO HOO ! I ended up making the challenge as we used DH car to go to dinner at MIL.
Now, unfortunately, I will drive to doctor on Tuesday and to grocery store either Wed or Thursday.....
and to make it worse, it looks like I will be losing my telecommuter status and start to need to drive to the office. Can you say cash for gas, clothing, makeup and the like....ZIKES

Does a motorcycle count? We are planning an outing with couples from our church with motorcycles Saturday. Other than that, we don't have plans except for Church on Sunday.
