<i>"They tried eating on $25 a week"
The $25 Challenge is over in Illinois, and we're sure the participants are thrilled about that. They agreed to spend no more than $25 on food for a week -- that's about $3.50 a day -- and blog about what they learned during the experience.

I've been reading over the blog, and was surprised at how difficult this was for some people. My husband and I discussed it last night, we eat on about $35 per person a week, and if I cut out the luxuries like ice cream, fresh squeezed OJ, and imported tea, and went meatless two nights a week instead of one, we'd be right at the challenge level. Neither of us feels hungry or deprived like the folks in this blog.
What about you?
