Went to the grocery the other day and spent $78.08. I got several "snacky" foods I wouldn't have normally gotten because DS#2 got to have friends stay over as part of his birthday present. Extra "snacky" food and an evening of eating, board and video games, and laughing to all hours of the night will hopefully be more memorable for him than a "party at a party place" and was definately easier on the budget even with the extra grocery expense.

    M=planned for use this month
    S=stockpiled

    5 cans of pringles M
    3 bags of cheese puffs/pretzels M
    2 gallons of milk M
1 box of cereal bars M
    2 roasts M/S
    5 cake mixes S
    1 bag carrots M
1 large head of romaine M
    4 boxes of cereal S
    3.5 lbs pears M
    3 lbs. bacon M
    5 lbs apples M
    5 cans cin. rolls M/S
    4 cans pizza crust M/S
    3 loafs bread M
    1 pack radishes M
    1 bag white rice
    3 lbs of onions
    1 bunch of fresh spinach

I also laid out $45 on pizza for the gathering. All in all it wasn't too bad since there was about 15 of us.

That puts me at $339.16. I'm pushing closer to that $400 than I would like.

I've not been updating lately. Thankfully I have also not been spending money on groceries lately either. I am trying really hard to use what is here and use any "extra" money for Christmas and debt pay off.

I had to make a trip to Walmart today for my classroom snack food (paid for by my school). While I was there, I picked up a few things that ended up costing my $60. Fortunately, I had to pick up some stuff for my mom, which came up to $20. So, that means, I only spent $40. Not bad, I guess, for Walmart on a Monday. I got:
    milk (2 gallons)
10 bottles of coke ($0.88 each; stockpile)
3 boxes of jullian potatoes (stockpile)
cookies (took my youngest son with me)
a video (once again, my son)

I went grocery shopping yesterday and spent a whopping $139.16. I have gotten away from doing all of my shopping at WM because honestly I get things much cheaper at Giant Eagle where they double my coupons. But I needed to get some clothes, health & beauty items yesterday so I stuck to WM. I bought a pair of pink sweats, a hot pink t-shirt and some footies. I have to have a strees test on Friday and don't have anything to wear!!!
I include all H&B, cleaning, stockpile, weekly, and sometimes clothes if I don't have to buy a lot of food in my $300 monthly budget so I guess I didn't do to bad.

I did my weekly grocery shopping trip today at Walmart. I spent $82.00. The cashier got mad at me because I had about 7 priced matched items, 1 of which she rung up wrong. The manager had to end up coming and fixing her mistake. I did do some stockpiling today, since I found fantastic deals. For my stockpile, I got:
10 bags of frozen Bird Eye veggies at $0.75 each
4 boxes of cake mix at $0.88 each
10 litters of coke at $0.88 each
4 packs of Pilsberry cresent rolls and cinimmon rolls at $1.50 each. (I had a coupon and got $2.00 off by the time I was done)
    1 5lb. bag of flour at $0.69
I did very well. I get my Angel Food boxes tomorrow. I should be good on meat for the rest of the month. I will probably only have to pick up milk and necessarities next week.

Spent $2.90 at 99c Store yesterday on produce and lunch stuff. Time to update the siggy.

Tomorrow I'm getting things to prepare most the rest of my dinners this month, and some fruit for lunchtime. I got my Christmas presents from family back east this week and it looks like Santa put some nice teas in my stocking, and some liquer-filled chocolates!!! Way cool.

Today: Spent $22.77 at Ralph's on sale meats, fresh veggies, canned tomatoes. Need to go to Von's for a pork roast on sale and some bouillon for the navy bean soup that's on the stove. I will probably go over $100 a little for the month, but if I hadn't indulged myself at lunch so shamelessly that would NOT be the case.

    Off to update siggy.
