I wasn't going to do my first shop until Tuesday, but we're getting a pretty significant winter storm tonight, so I went ahead this morning. Spent $92 total between 2 stores and should be set for at least a week or so.

I am going to stay at $300 for right now. I am now out of stockpiling space in the kitchen....so until I get things reorganized, and we eat down the extra stuff.....we shouldn't need to spend too terribly much this month.
(this includes everything, cleaners, foods, hba etc....)

I'm in at $500 again. I paid for the March Angel Food at the February pick-up, so I added that to my signature already.

I went for my fist grocery trip on Friday (pay day for me, so it is the start of our new month for us), and spent $82. Made an impulse trip to Walgreens and spent $60. In my defense, everything was on sale, I had a coupons for some of the item I bought, most of it was for my stockpile, and some stuff was for my mom, which she will pay me $20 tomorrow. Once she pays me, I will change my siggy to $20 less. Total so far : $142 Monthly goal: $485

I came in under for February, but not by much since they ended up having a meat sale I couldn't pass up. For March I am sticking with $300...still hoping to hit that $50 per week average for the year.

I am going for $450 this month - including eating out. We had company for three months which was easier on our budget than I thought it would be. More awareness on my part and great cooking on my husband's will help us reach our goal!!

Understanding - finally
I get it now - I need to be conscious about what I'm doing - and plan to be successful. Feel as if I am coming out of a fog for the past year or so - mostly due to daughter being on the mainland and travelling back and forth to support her throught three surgeries and now I tore my rotator cuff and need surgery. Very strange since we don't often have such physical challenges.
Anyway, I am so glad that I found frugal village and that my eyes were opened. I know that for me to be successful, I'll need to visit daily for support and I'll also need to record what is going on. It's too easy for me to just go on automatic without really thinking about what I am doing.:
Goals for March include:
2 lb. wieght loss per week
30 minutes of exercise per day
declutter home 20 minutes per day
plan weekly meals
finish taxes
keep track of daily spending
keep track of no spend days:
Mahalo to you all!!
March Goals:
Weight loss: 2lbs./wk - 0/4
Plan weekly meals: 1/4
Food budget: 100/wk - 0/4
Declutter: 20 min/day - 1 session/31
