    No EF funds this payday.

This payday I made payments to all the "credit" stuff at once (See below) and paid for 7 bottles of meds. With groceries, gas and allowance, that is all it can take.

Next payday I am hoping to get some out and by the last payday of Jan. we will be back in the regular cycle of 2 paydays per month.

I think it is a great idea about the safe. I have one here and it is where all our E-fund goes ... no place worse to put your money than in a bank.

Besides the economy, e-crooks, poor interest rates, and the government ... the banks are never open when you really need them.

I keep a break down in bill sizes so I don't have to "cash bills" most of the time.

increased our BEF up $500. to $1500. and am contiuing to think about that safe. DH likes the idea and laughed at my ideas of how to hide it and where put it. I like the idea of break down of bills but not too small (In case someone might have a garage sale addiction or something). She looks around avoiding all eye contact.
Next to plan EF vs. debt snowball.

    I lied! (accidentally)

After getting all the medicine, paying all the bills, etc, I found I had $35.00 that could go to the EF, so it is in it's envelope headed for the safe.

And thanks! I am in that challenge but I am not sure if I can break it down little enough, but I will be over there to post it soon.

The challenge hadn't officially started yet - so please be sure to repost this in the actual 2010 Emergency Fund challenge thread. The thread has been created and is stickied at the top of the Money Challenges forum.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"
