I did my first grocery shopping of the year and spent $50. Plus the $2.50 for milk yesterday and I am at $52.50 for the week with $47.50 left. I really shouldn't need much for the rest of the week as I am trying to eat out of the stockpile this month.

I'm in, I really need to get a handle on the money around here. I'm shooting for $500 for the month, for 2 adults, 2 teen boys, our baby, 3 dogs and a rabbit. This includes all food for people and animals, hba, diapers and formula. I'm hoping to reduce it a little each month, but we will see.

I went to get groceries alone and did very well. I stuck to my plan and list for the most part.Almost everything had a coupon or card savings, some both. Cashier was impressed that I got the fresh pork shoulder for half price. My bill came to $32.52,savings $22.82. Now to plan next week.

Dh did very well. He went and picked up things to make his stroganoff for dinner tonight and spent only $13.20. He only bought exactly what he needed for dinner tonight. I'm so proud LOL. Total spent so far is $28.79. I have finalized my week of meals and will be creating a cooresponding grocery list for shopping tommorow.

This week's total is $135.00. I saved $65.55 in grocery store savings, coupons, and bogo free. I am under $15.00 for my week's total. Yahoo!

I ran to 3 different stores this weekend. When I got back home I took a closer look at my totals and my reciepts. I only used $100 from this months budget but spent $125. Then I remembered that I had $25 left over from last month. So, my total from this months budget is $100.
I also used a gift card to buy some food for my DS#2 birthday party next month.

Spent $73.00 for the week yesterday. Could have done better, but DH and I stopped at the store after being out for the day and I didn't have my list...LOTS of snow here today, so I am happy to not have to go out. I'm hoping I won't be back in the store this week.. then I'll be under.

I'm in! I am making a budget of $100 per week. That is for a family of 3 plus 3 dogs, 1 is 85 lbs and one is 100 lbs so I am lumping the dogs together as one person! I went on Friday and spent $30 but am still considering that part of 2009 since I was not at home at the beginning of the week and would have normally done my weeks shopping then. GL everyone!

I posted earlier that I'm in but didn't say when to when. My week will start on Fridays and since the first was on a Friday I'm not counting it although I spent nothing. This coming Friday will be my first post of what spent thu this coming Thursday. So far no groceries bought.

I spent $5 on newspapers & a gallon of milk today. I'll be looking at the dinner menu and packing lunches later so I can determine how much shopping I will have to do this week.
