I "cheated" and stuffed a couple of bills in there. I am trying to put $10/week in, just as a little buffer for Christmas. Christmas dinner last year cost me an arm and a leg ($80 for JUST the prime rib), so it would be nice to be able to cover it with the change jar this year.

added .32 cents. Found while cleaning out drawers and getting rid of clothing I no longer wear. So $1.59.

My total today is $16.59
I didn't get to take it to the bank Friday, so I just decided to let it build. My plan for it is to buy new clothes. Goal is to get $100.00 in it. Don't know how much it will hold since it is new, but it is pretty good size.Living Single and Loving it!

Count me in too, although I'm undecided how we will spend it - I might use it towards Christmas next year, if we travel to see our families we might have to put it towards gas!

I'm using a small chest that looks like a treasure chest instead of a jar. I have $1.83 in my change chest.

I'll be joining the change jar challenge for 2011. I've emptied out my jars from last year... had almost $200 in them. They look sad now. I'm going to try to empty my wallet out each week and add my change to the jars. I kept meaning to do this last year and my wallet would get so heavy it would start to weigh me down before I would empty it out. I like to add to my jars and keep it posted on FV so I know how much is in mine. Not saving for anything special... just saving...

Another 50c added today. I took the $63 odd that we had yesterday morning and have set it aside for deposit tomorrow, so started a new jar count. So far in the new jar we have $2.25.
