Grocery Challenge - April
Well, unbelieveably, April is right around the corner. I was successful with $130 for March and am going to keep my goal at that for April and not bring it down $10 more as I usually do when I meet the goal. My concern is that I am going through my stockpile and am also now out of chicken, so this will be a stocking up month for me. If I keep it under $120, then that's a bonus thrill for me and I'll move it down to $110 for May. But, realistically, I'm keeping it at $130.

I will say $150.00 for April. No $200.00 for April, ds' Birthday is in April so I'll have to spend more to feed his little friends.

I don't know if I was successful in March or not. So many things have happened this month, that I lost track of my expenses. But, I'm ready to jump back on the wagon, and try it again.
My goal: $250

Looks like I should make my goal for March.

Since we are going to be trying real hard to pay off our credit card, I'm going to lower my goal just a bit.
For April my goal will be 175$.

Well I have not done the challenge for a bit so I will start again. I kept my March groceries down easy cuz I over bought in Feb.
So for April I will say $300 so I can do some stocking up.

I did a restocking of major necessities today.
I spent $24.27 and got:
1 Jumbo pack Pampers Cruisers
1 Huggies 80ct. wipes
2 15oz. Wheaties
2 15oz. Corn Pops
1 Romaine Lettuce
1 Large Cellery bunch
4 lbs Navel Oranges
2 Gallons Whole Milk
2 2.5oz Honey Turkey Slices
1 8oz. Sliced Swiss Cheese
1 Healthy Choice Mint N Chip Ice cream 1.75 quart size
1 Speed Stick 24/7 Deodarant
2 packs Oreo Double Stufft cookies
1 24 pack Coca Cola (not even a great price but we really needed it)
I had a 5$ off 50$ coupon which I handed them first before I gave them my other coupons.
My before card/coupons total was 69.77, so I saved about 50$ tonight
I also got a raincheck on some cheese. I am just so glad that I'm getting better at remembering that kind of thing

So, dh wanted to buy some clam sauce for the pasta last night. I was against it, but he's been doing so well with his diet, that I decided to bite my tongue and not only let him do a mid-week shop (totally against the rules) but also let him buy an item that I didn't have a coupon for. However, I made him do the shop for next week while he was out, so I guess I saved myself a trip on Sunday! (I'll probably still go because I remembered a few things that we need this morning.) He did pretty well.
Total: $15.98
