November grocery challenge
Woo hoo I made my goal and had a few $$ left over.
My goal for Nov. is going to be $400 because I need to do some stockpiling for the coming months. I still need to pick up 100 lbs. of grain and 50 lbs. of rice.
That goal is for 5 people, 2 adults and 3 teens. No pet supplies are included.
Next...52 week money challenge - $41.00
Books read in 2013 - 16

Congrats CJ on making your goal! I've also made mine!
I'm setting my goal at $250 once again for November. It could be tough because we will be in Hawaii for part of that time and the grocery prices are outrageous there $6 for a gallon of milk!

WTG! CJ, I too met my goal. I will say $320.00 for this month. I need to get some meat for the winter months.
That is for 2 Adults and 1 Teenager Not including Pet supplies, H&B items or paper products.
OOO Debbie, I wanna go! I'd love to get some Chocolate Macadamia Nut Coffee. You know the one in the White bag, I think it's Kona Isle? It's been so long that I have forgotten.
Ok who's Next?

I came in $69.59 under budget for October.
So, I'll go lower in November. I'll set my goal to
$175.00 for 2 adults and 2 kids. No pet or HBA items.

I'm in! I will have to come back and post my goal amount though. I've got to take a good survey of what we have stockpiled now and figure out how much is left on my disaster relief food card.

Well, I went over my October goal of $500 by $9.35. Not too bad!
I will set my goal for November a bit higher at $525.00 as it is DH's birthday and I would like to treat him to steak (which we haven't had in almost a year).

Okay my goal for November will be $200. This includes a trip to Costco to stock up on a few things.

I am out - I can't control Bruce - in his defense he is thinking he is being nice when he comes home with crab legs and Prime rib and treats for the kids since we never eat out anymore. He IS being nice its just that I can't keep a budget that way - (and I don't want to have to go back to work cuz he buys me crab legs - even though they are yummy!!!)

WooHoo - I made it under too!!
I'm sticking at $300 for November as well - includes everything to make this house function plus the extras for holiday baking!
Here's a prayer & lots of good thoughts that we all make it in the black in November!

Congratulations to all of you who made your goals!!!! I didn't!!!!

I tried, I really did but I failed! I am in again this month and I am going to up my goal because I want to do some stocking up!!!! Like QM I need to do an inventory of my freezers and pantries and then I will come back and post my goal amount!

Ok, I just surveyed my damage. I went over my Oct. goal by $51.45, but that's because Sam's isn't accepting our disaster relief food cards so I had to spend money there today. I did some major stocking on the organic coffee they have discontinued, but that'll be a savings in the future.
So.......... I'm setting a goal of $150 out of pocket for November (I won't count the remaining balance on my food card since I'm technically not spending any money). I am hoping for some really good canned organic vegetable sales with the holidays approaching and need to continue to do some stocking.

Allrightythen! I'm ready to give it another shot! I've got a small stockpile, which means almost every available space is taken. I'm storing canned goods above the kitchen cabinets, lol. Groceries, in general, are a bit higher here, but I am able to find more really good deals.
My goal for November will be $250. I'm including food for me, 1 pre-teen and 2 munchkins. I'm also including food and litter for 1 small cat, diapers for the munchkins, personal care, cleaning and paper supplies.

I`m going to try to stay under $100 in Nov. My budget is usually $200. per month, but the pantry and freezer are well stocked.
This is for 3 adults, a 16 year old, 11 year old and a 21 month old. For food only.
Good luck everyone!

OK, I'm in this month. After last month's freezer meltdown, we lost much of our meat. I'm going to have to restock the freezer soon, as DH has to have meat in his meals. I also haven't been to the bread store since we moved, so I'll need to stock up there this week. I've got a good supply of canned goods at the moment, but, I'll also be buying some extra stuff for the holidays. I'll aim for $300 this month for people and pet food.
