I'm in.Just moved on Saturday so I'm not sure where my change is stashed right now.I try not to spend change during the week so my purse can get quite heavy if I don't empty it on the weekend.I'm going to use my change and rent money to pay off my credit card within the next three months. The 2006 change will go towards another car.

I am in for sure. Keeping pennys and silver separate and using it all toward debt reduction. I have also noticed that as I stay home more and spend less, I have less change in the jar. But every little bit helps right!

I'm in! I'm going to purge the change jar at the end of the month and put the money into the Baby Fund (baby's due in April and we have a few things to buy).
Is it okay to count the change each month and put it toward whatever you're putting it toward?

I would like to join, too! The pennies go to my ds's (I've been doing this for 13 years, since the oldest was born). Some nickles go to parking meter in town, but the rest I will save. I think I will use it to purchase a new sofa. I already have about $50.00 in change from 2005, can I use this toward my sofa?

sillybutt - you can do it anyway you want. I like to count mine every couple months and then put it towards debt.
I added another $1.10 that was in my wallet today. I also put aside 2 quarters for January's debt reduction challenge.

I'm in too. Hopefully being accountable here, I'll stop dipping into it and just save....hopefully!

I'm in.
I plan on depositing my change weekly in our bank account, no matter how much.

I'll try this, too. Nothing like jumping in with both feet, right? So far I have the Debt Reduction challenge for January, the quarter challenge for January and this one now. I have been reading this board more than posting and I am starting to think I might be able to do this. I'll get the coins all separated this weekend and get started right on the new year. :-)

I'm in! Could someone possibly give me (a newbie!) a quick"how to"? Do you just dump your change into a jar-something I'm already doing- and then put it into you savings account/on your credit card/etc?

I'm in! The total in my siggy is from the last challenge(started saving Dec 2004). I havent decided what mine will be used for,so I'll just keep adding till I decided lol
My goal was originally to save $100 in change (silver).I think I may stick to that and then decided what it will be used for. If anything changes,I will post it
I also keep my silver and pennies seperate.
