2008 Change Jar and Penny Challenge
Everyone deserves a pat on the back for the good jobs they did with their change jars!! Let's go for it again in 2008!! Just two more days until the new year and I will be starting fresh with my change jars. I have one for quarters, one for nickles and dimes, and one for pennies. I am planning to open a savings account with the change I accumulated in 2007. Everyone has different goals and ideas on want to do with their change. Just drop your coins into the jars and come back here and post your progress. Change is great in 2008!!

I'm always in. I don't tally my change as I go. It's just a surprise when we empty it in the summer for our vacation spending money. But, I'm making deposits just like the rest of you!

im in too!
except mine goes into a pretty box, i dont think i can keep running totals though, i do count it as i throw it in the box........think in 2008 maybe ill keep track better?? (i rigged it pretty good, i dont have the patience to try an get in it, and it hurts my fingers when i try to pry it out of the hole in the top
)
so lets just say im starting the new year with 2.00 in the box already

I'm in for the Penny Jar Challenge. Both DH and use our silver change regularly (he takes public transportation in NY between trips) - I use when I pay with cash. We always seem to have pennies laying around, though. I'llprobably roll them every other month or so.
Off to find a pretty jar to put on the desk!~Jessica

Count me in, we give all of our silver coins to DS to put in his piggy banks when it is full we count it up and transfer that amount between our bank account and his, then we keep the silver in our coin cookie jar and when that is full we count it (again!) and bank it. Just cleaned it out from last year so will be starting freah. Silver coins in Australia are 5c, 10c, 20c & 50c. We also save our golds just for the adults $1 and $2 although we generally use them for shortfall on bread and milk and stuff.
