Can we start a monthly debt reduction challenge?
The 2008 reduction challenge just scares me, I think if I did it in smaller steps then I feel like it would be more attainable. Anyone with me?

Sounds good to me. My goal for March is to start on baby step 2. I want to put $250 extra on our car loan.
How much we enjoy what we have is more important than how much we have. Life is full of people who have more than they know what to do with, but cannot be content. It is the capacity to enjoy life that brings contentment.---Unknown

I'm in and I agree...I do much better on focusing on the month at hand. I want to finish paying off my computer this month, as the interest free period ends in 2 months. Also want to reign in my spending..sort of been wacky since christmas!

I am continueing with the extra $100 on my mortage it takes 1 entire monthly payment off every time I do that.
not sure is much progress will be made this month I have enough saved to pay my taxes and most of the 800 into my IRA that is lowering that tax amount
Once I get those out of the way back to paying off the debt.

I'm in too. After the great month, I had last month paying down debt I'd like to keep myself focused.
I'd like to get my Visa down to $2000.00. It's at $3000 right now so $1000 this month.

Since we don't pay our first mortgage payment until June, I would like to pay off the following: Tire Kingdom, JCPENNY, and most of Wal-Mart. We will also save some to put towards the principal of the loan.
I agree- one month at a time sure does help with the bigger challenge!
