Envelope challenge

Default Envelope challenge

I'm trying to save money in envelopes for various trips and things. Every time I get $1.00 bills, I load up the envelopes.

These are my envelopes:

Disney World-Oct 2003-all my washer woman tips go here too
Kayak trips-$10.00 per transport-Would like to save for 3 trips-$30.00
Dover Nascar Race-Sept 2003-to try to take DH for his birthday. We are within driving distance, so it's the tickets I need to save for.
Camping-a week at the shore in August with the kiddies. About $100.00 needed to pay for 3 nights (MIL pays for the rest)
Christmas 2003-nuff said!
Wildwood-June 2003-weekend at the shore with DH and kids-our annual trip

So far I've been good and haven't touched anything. Does this work for you? What are you saving for?

Never tried this system, but sounds like it will work for me. Thanks for the idea Danielle!

I've never tried it but I am saving my change and any little rebates that I get for *something* but don't know what.

Mylittle4 has discussed this subject in another challenge thread. It sounded interesting then too, but I still haven't done it.
