I understand your wanting to help this boy. There aren't too many people who will put a non family member first...(actually even a family member)... I've done the same thing myself...with positive results...I was questioned by one of the members of the church board...What was I thinking??? I replied..I was thinking maybe I could make a difference in this kids life..isn't that what we're all supposed to try and do??? Make a difference??? ...he dedn't have a reply to that...There will be many people who will not understand what you are doing...but do what you think is best..but stand your ground and lay your lines down...then make them stay within them....sometimes these things can have a happy ending...they don't all turn out badly
