My first lace work
I love it! The pattern is KnitPicks Candle Flame Shawl. I used KnitPicks Gossamer yarn in Leprechaun colorway. It's discontinued so I can't link it.
It was just complicated enough that I couldn't completely memorize the pattern, but I could memorize one row repeat at a time. I used a life line on row 18 but never had to use it. I did have to tink a couple of times. I also had to pick up a couple of forgotten YOs but nothing worth frogging.
Now I just have to decide…do I keep it or gift it?

TY TY

13 days start to finish. I started the morning of August 8th & finished in the afternoon on August 21. The first two days I only got one repeat done. After that it got faster. I got so I could get 1-1.5 repeats done per day. I really only knitted about 2-4 hours per day. An hour or so while I took the boys outside to play, then a couple hours in the evenings while watching the Olympics. The was one whole day where I didn't touch it at all. It was a nice, somewhat fast knit.
The total length is 70-ish inches, it's width is 16".Last edited by YankeeMom; 08-23-2008 at 09:05 PM.

If you do give it away, make sure it's to someone really special.
