Do you have a yarn stash?
And, if so, how long could you continue to knit (or crochet) solely from your stash?
I'm a slow knitter, so I could probably last 5 years or so. But, if my speed increased, maybe that could cut down to 3 years!

I'm learning (trying anyway) to crochet so I don't have a lot but I'm certainly working on getting a stash of yarn!!

Suffice to say I have a 5-drawer dresser (4.5 feet tall), a 2 drawer stand next to my recliner (2 ft tall), three baskets behind my recliner and a bunch more in various project bags around the house

Was that a rhetorical question?! LOL!!
My name is Tami, and I am a yarnaholic. I stash, yet I still buy. I love yarn.
Sometimes, I just go through my stash when I need a little cheering up.
I could probably go at least 5 years without buying anything and stay very busy.

I can't walk by a lonely skein... I must take it home!!! I caught a clearance sale and needless to say, I think my yarn stash is bigger than my material one... and I had 4 totes.
I try to hide them the best I can, but the Old Man would move something and out rolls a ball
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

I am pretty knew to knitting too. I'd say I have a very small stash. I have several skeins of cotton yarn (dishcloths) and several acrylics as well. My stash fits into a small tote bag and an old kitty litter (plastic) pail.
I can't afford to stash yarn in addition to my large fabric stash

I have a small stahs of yarn I am trying to use before buying anything new. I would like to buy some new yarn in new colors, but I am not going to. Or at least this is what I have promised myself. I am crotcheting a blanket for my new nephew right now and then I have a few balls of sock yarn left.

Yeah, there definitely needs to be a 12 step program for yarn and fabric buyers. I need to admit my addiction and start working the steps......
Yankeemom, MY chest of drawers is full of quilting fabric. My Yarn is all over the house. In bags. Waiting for someone to do something with it.
However, I DO have all of my needles and other tools in one place---finally.

But Cheryl, a 12-step program implies I want help! LOL!!
