Default I'll have to see if this works out....
I had cast on for a shawl: about 2' wide in a lacy pattern.

Then, after I'd finished one of my 3 balls of yarn, I realized I had a problem: I had a piece of knitting 2' x 1'. Even tripled, it wouldn't be nearly enough for a shawl.

I didn't want to rip back ... I'm a slow knitter, and I'd spent 10 hours or so on that piece.

So, I went to www.ravelry.com . And y'know what I found? Somebody who had turned a partial scarf into a cowl!

So, now I have a nice neck tube for winter.
