Cool My recent items (picture heavy)

Here is the sweater I cast on Friday night (9/12). It's Emerald from Knitty.com. I've got the lower body up to where you join the sleeves done, one sleeve done, and the second sleeve cast on. It's a very quick knit because it's chunky yarn on big needles. I'm using an inexpensive (but pretty) acrylic yarn because I'm not all that confident in my sweater making skills lol. The picture doesn't do it justice...it's a pretty tawny, rose, and cream twist.

Embossed Leaves socks, from Favorite Socks book. The yarn is a 50/50 merino tencel blend hand-dyed from an Etsy shop. I love how shiny and soft it is. They took me about 2 weeks because I did sock #1, stopped and worked on a couple of my UFOs, then did sock #2.

Then I made a hat for each of the boys out of wool-ease. They took me about half a day each.

And I finished my chevron scarf. I started it LAST October, set it aside with only 4 inches left to go. I finished it in between the socks above.

Here is the big dog's sweater. This is another that I started months ago (March?) and set aside. I finished it in between the two socks above. I still need to get the little guy to sit still long enough to get a pic of him in his sweater. I started & finished that one in between the socks posted above too. The little guy's only took me 3 days. Would have taken only 2 but I forgot the leg holes and had to redo part of it

Very nice! I've been thinking about knitting my lab mix a sweater, but he'd probably just chew it off.

Beautiful work. I need to get my act together and take some pictures of the things I've finished recently.

The Chevron Scarf pattern is from a book called "Last Minute Knitted Gifts". It calls for sock yarn. I used an overdye skein from the Yarn Pirate and Opal Royale.

On average, I probably knit 2-3hrs/day. Not all in one sitting...20 minutes here, 30 minutes there. Some days I don't knit at all. Like today. It's too stinkin' hot to pick up any yarn

I love the color of that sweater! Do you sell on Etsy? You are so talented, and I'm totally jealous! I have tons of yarn sitting and waiting on me to learn to crochet, and to get to work on some knifty knitter projects. I've thought about investing in some adjustable knitting looms, but that will have to wait for now.
Your dog sweater is cute! I love all the projects!
