When knitting, how do you keep track of your rows?
I get muddled every time I'm supposed to count rows.

You can count them by the loops, or you can use a row counter of some sort (handheld or just pen tallies on a piece of paper works). I sometimes lose count and just go back and look at the rows. It is easy on either a knit or purl side. Knit would be the loops. Purl would the be little double row that runs horizontally. If counting on the knit side, don't include the loop on the needle.

for really large projects, I use a row counter that slips on the knitting needle.
for smaller projects - I just use a pen and paper tally.

I have use pencil & paper for big projects. I also have row counters and glass pebbles... but I have been thinking about making some sort of abacus.
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

Get yourself a row counter that slips over the needle. They are available cheaply at Walmart. The ones I got came in a packet of 2. One for larger and one for smaller needles. A knitting life saver!
