Anyone making any Christmas gifts?
I was thinking of making some Christmas gifts this year, but I'm not sure what. Why not share what you have planned so we can all get ideas from it. Pattern sources would be very helpful! And I'd love to see the pictures of your finished projects when you get that far

I'm crocheting 3 throw blankets!
One is made from Red Heart Super Saver/Aran Fleck using the thermal stitch. I used this pattern. It is for a preemie blanket, I just increased my starting chain.

The second one is made from Bernat Softee Baby/Bongo Blue using another baby blanket pattern. Again, I adjusted the pattern for a larger blanket.

And the third one is made from Simply Soft Quick/Watermelon using another baby blanket pattern, which I have printed off and do not have the link for at the moment. It is using a V stitch and a Shell stitch throughout. For this one I am also using hot pink Fun Fur for the border.
I have the first one finished and am now working on the third one (couldn't wait to do this one). I would post photos if I could!

I'm making hats for the kids' friends. I got Noro Silk Garden yarn on a good sale; each hat takes about 1 skein.

I'm making a hound dog pillow for my granddaughter. She's 4 and all about dogs right now so I thought this would be truly appreciated. It's on the coats & clark site in the free patterns. I haven't figured out copy & paste on this laptop.

I made a hat for my other niece
and I have made homemade apple jelly and hot cocoa mixes for baskets

I'm making everything this year. The kids will get some toys I didn't make, but that is all. I've made hats, scarves, mittens, socks, dishtowels and sweaters.

I've made quite a few & still going

Mom: knitted socks and cabled headband (ear warmer)
DS10: knitted socks
DS7: knitted hoodie
Poppy: knitted Air Force dishcloth, and still gonna make a knitted hat & maybe a scarf.
I'm contemplating making dd16 a shrug. Dd14 doesn't want knitted gifts
and dh will be getting knitted socks *after* Christmas lol. His feet are too dang big to get them done by Christmas.

I haven't actually measured them.

For the first one I mentioned, I actually made it bigger than I had planned. Not on purpose, of course! LOL I started with a ch of 165 (was stuck on this number from the one I made for my DH and I) and I ended up using 8 skeins. Thankfully I already had the extra skeins on hand and wasn't out anymore money. Needless to say this 'throw blanket' is a tad bigger than what I would consider one to be. Which I guess is ok considering the recipient is a 14 yr old.
The second one I haven't started on yet, so absolutely no idea!
The third one is the only one I have an actual pattern for the size I want, of course, I'm glad I printed it off because I cannot find it again to save my life.
It says it will be approx. 36" x 48".

I'm making flannel pants for my daughter and my husband is making a bread box for her. He is also making a plant stand and a plant cart on wheels for his mom. Now if we could just figure out something for the men. None of them will wear the flannel pants and both can build the things they want.
