    i love the idea of hand (warming) pockets in my scarf - "I" will be making this (rather than buying it) for myself.

    Very nice!! There are a few patterns out there for just such a scarf. There's a very nice one called Cable Pocket Shawl or something like that. I don't think it's a shawl, just a WIDE scarf. But very nice & warm looking.

    That is so cool! Even with gloves in the winter, I still stick my hands in my pockets, so I would love a scarf to do the same with!

    I was thinking of knitting my mother a wrap with pockets for the same reason.

    lol yeah i came across it looking for a gift for someone else... and saw that and thought "how easy!" and "what an obviously great idea!" LOL

    I dont really use patterns, if i see it or see it in my mind, I can make it.

    another idea that came to mind is for kids sewing mittens/gloves TO the scarf... like some ppl sew them to the jacket sleeves.
    just an idea! extra warmth is good.
