Question ISO Soft, Bulky Yarn Recommendation

I've been using Lion brand's Wool Ease Thick & Quick for the scarf projects calling for bulky yarn, but I was hoping for something a bit softer.

Anyone have a recommendation for me? TIA

Michelle, I don't have a clue. I had trouble picking yarn out for the mitts I'm making. It took me forever to try to figure out what was best. Now if it was quilting material, that would be a whole different story.

I'm tempted to try to Knitpicks swish superwash bulky for a sweater for DD. However, I am on a yarn diet ...

I don't have a HL near me...is the Italia their store brand? Or can I look for it elsewhere?

I'm not a big crocheter but have used Lions brand Homespun yarn to make scarves & it worked up without effort. Soft & thick.

I have the prettiest sky blue (a bit darker, actually) Homespun yarn, and you're right, it is really soft.

I may be making my father a scarf for his birthday and will probably use that yarn.

I don't know how thick you want, but I was in JoAnn's the other day and they are having a good sale on yarn until the 10th... I can't remember all the brands, but I know that Jiffy and Vanna's Choice were $1.99

Remember, you can always double a thinner yarn!

Some of Hobby Lobby's products are availble on their website. I have ordered yarn from there.

I'll just ditto the doubling of a worsted weight yarn of the softness you like. I have worked with both Jiffy and the LB Homespun. Neither are fun to work with AT ALL.
