Hi needle art lovers of all kinds. I've attached a picture of a pattern I have of a stocking. Now I must tell you that I'm a Shepherds Bush Junkie from their beginnings. So you can imagine I have a stash of their books/kits. I have lots of walls filled with custom framing of many of their kits.

My problem with a stocking is that I can only see it at Christmas. But they are gorgeous when finished. Do you think I could convert it into a pillow and display it. I want to make 6 of them (for each of my kids and my husband and myself). Can you think of anything else other than a pillow?

Let me know what you think. I have many kits/charts and fabric from these designers, but I just don't want to have that many more framed pictures kwim?

Are you thinking a small bolster-type pillow? If so, then maybe it would work, but I think those work best with the design in the horizontal direction.

I'm biased towards the stocking form because, about 18 years ago, I finished a Christmas stocking for DH. It only comes out once a year, but it's lovely to see it every Christmas.

I have several options. I can use the "original" fabric which I think is 18 ct. over 2. Or to x-stitch it on a linen type fabric.

The original pattern is stitched with pearl cottons which gives it a gorgeous "depth".
