    I just finished the first of many squares for my daughter's afghan. I LOVE it! Dave says he might not let it go when I get the whole thing done.

    Ooh it is beautiful. And I was going to ask what colors you are using too.

    It reminds me of the square w/in a square quilt block :yes:

    That is a lovely pattern. I can't say that I have seen that one before. I bet it will be nice and warm when you get it done. Lucky daughter.

    I'm using the same colors as in the pic.

    I searched for DAYS online to find two squares that were classy and unique for the granny afghans I'm making for my two kids and their spouses. I'm serious, I was getting discouraged because I couldn't find something truly different.

    For my son & daughter-in-law I've found a sampler afghan that is again, quite different. I'll try to find the site for that and post that one too. I finished a square for that one last night. This one is also 12" squares.

    If anyone is interested in doing the square I posted the pic of, I can give you some advice to make it a bit simpler.

    fot this one I'm using 3 shades brown (dark, med & tan) and two shades of blue (light and dark denim color) they have a blue living room set.
