    Default Anyone Crochet?????

I love to crochet and have made anywhere from slipper, hats, baby items, afghans, doilies etc....My grandmother taught me when I was 9 and have kept it up.....
She always told me to never throw any yarn or thread as it can be used for something.... The longer pieces of yarn I tie to another small piece and when I get enough I crochet potholders, then the smaller pieces I stuff balls and toys with it. So never throw any of it away. Sure can make some great gifts. Find yarn and thread at garage sale, flea markets, thrift stores etc. In fact I bought a 3 drawer chest of yarn for $2.00 since I bought all of it!!!
To all you cro hookers or knitting nut have a great day!!!!

    I don't crochet, but I knit.

    I find it relaxing.
    And challenging.

It's a wonderful hobby. At at the end of 3 weeks, having spent money on yarn and received hours of enjoyment, I get a pair of socks too!

    Win-win.

But I can't convince DH to try it.

I do! I think there are a few crocheters out there! I also knit. I love them both and can't pick one over the other. I love scrap projects and finding ways to use up everything. I have a huge stash I am trying to work off this year and tons of UFOs I'm trying to finish.

I just learned to crochet this month and I really want to learn how to knit. I am soooo addicted now to crocheting and have so many things already and I am really proud of myself. I can't stop. Started another scarf today.

I crochet and knit. I learned to crochet 22yrs ago *gulp*. I've been knitting for 5 or 6 yrs now. I knit more than I crochet because crocheting makes my hand cramp up.

I crochet as well as knit. I really enjoy crocheting more than knitting. That said, I think that if I got better at knitting I would enjoy it more.
I enjoy the variety of stitches and patterns that crocheting has.

I taught myself how to crochet about 12 years ago - from a book - but only recently got the hang of reading a pattern! LOL! Up to this point, my afghans, hats, scarfs, etc - all came from my head... but a whole new world has opened up to me with all the free patterns out there!
Oh yeah & I save scraps too. I've made scrap afghans & use them for stuffing toys too!

I used to crochet, but I've forgotten how. I always had a problem with my tension. I'm looking forward to starting again this year. I have an entire Rubbermaid bin of crochet cotton I've inherited/been given. Time to use it up or get rid of it!

My grandmother taught me to crochet and knit when I was about 8. I picked up both ,again, about 3 years ago. I love to crochet! I'm getting better. Boy is it relaxing. A great stress reliever.

My first hobby was crocheting. My Mom taught me how when I was 8 (a long time ago!). I've crocheted so many full-sized afghans, doilies, dishrags, baby afghans, slippers, scarves, one sweater, etc. I save scraps. I like to do scrappy-ghans, as I call them. They get more compliments than the ones I purposefully buy yarn for! Go figure. I have patterns galore. I've entered some stuff into local fairs, which I like to do.

i'm a crocheter too! i've been crocheting since i was about 10 years old-so 20years now! (that makes me feel old-lol)

i'm working on a round ripple afghan right now. for years i couldn't read a pattern either so i only made simple scarves...but i've slowly been trying to learn to read patterns and have made mittens, hats, dishcloths, blankets, ponchos, bags...all sorts of stuff.

i dream of one day being able to quit my job and sell my wares full time....

I can do very simple crochet (i.e, single crochet), but I am trying to learn a few more moves.

    Love, love, love to crochet!

I taught myself from books and the internet, and try to crochet a little every day. It's a great form of relaxation for me.
