Internet Yarn Buying

Does anyone buy their yarns from the internet? My local stores don't carry a lot of choices of yarn. Red Heart, Sugar & Cream, Lion and Bernat is all.

Which site do you use most often, if you buy from the internet?

I have bought yarn on ebay only, for online purchases.
I have sold yarn on ebay and through craigslist.

I have looked at other yarn sites, and thought about buying, but never
carried through and done it.

I've bought lower end yarn from joann.com. I've also purchased some better quality yarn from Elann.com. It has been several years since I ordered from the latter, but I was always satisfied with my purchases.

But my best buys have been from people destashing their yarns on ravelry. For example, I like Noro Silver Thaw. It retails around $20/skein. Last week, I bought 4 skeins on a Ravelry destash for $40 -- shipped.

Thanks, all. I've checked out most of the sites and they are really cool. I'll go back for really special yarns from them. I want to try knitting socks and these have really nice yarn for socks. Yesterday, I decided to buy my yarns from Smiley's Yarns (internet). They have a great selection at quite low prices. The minimum order is $50. I got 35 skeins for $54.95. Still, with shipping costs added, the price was $1.94 per skein. Now I'll have to wait to see how the service and product is.

OK. I got my order from Smiley's Yarns and it is right on. They matched the dye lots like they said they would. Also, I received the order in 4 days. That is great service. I'll be ordering from them again. The yarns are what was pictured and are better in person. I have a lot of knitting and crocheting to do. Take care.

I like Smiley's and www.knitting-warehouse.com. I haven't ordered in a while, but they used to have a $5.99 flat rate for shipping. Very competitive prices too.
