Thumbs up Tee-Shirt Re-purposed Into Handbag

    Tee-Shirt Re-purposed Into Handbag

I've been trying to figure out what I can do with my Dh's old t-shirts. Came across this and love the idea! I think I'll make a bigger version, though...a grocery sized bag. Probably several as he has quite the accumulation! I'm really excited about it! I just can't bear to throw away things that I know still have 'life' in them!

I made three of them for a sewing challenge.......think it was sewing challenge one. They weren't crocheted but made up fast. The pic is posted in that post somewhere.

I have used them for groceries and love them. Hope to get some more made for the 'wrapping' on my Xmas goodies.

I have so many stained teeshirts... that is brilliant. I think i'll be working on a grocery tote bag as well.

I saved that to my favorites! Thank you for posting that link. I was just thinking about a project for old t-shirts and that was perfect!

Glad I'm not the only one who got excited about this! hehehe

I've now cut 5 of Dh's old t-shirts into those strips. Now, on to the crocheting!

Anyone have ideas for the portions of t-shirt that are left (not cut into strips?)...like, from the shoulder area...
