Knitters -- In my ideal stash, there would be .... ?
cross-posted from Ravelry:
I was falling asleep, and thinking about yarn.
And then I thought, “What would be in my perfect stash?”
Enought yarn for
2 sweaters
10 hats
8 pairs of mittens
3 vests
15 pairs of socks.
2 shawls
5 cozy scarves
5 lacy scarves
That’s close to 2 years worth of knitting for me.
Now, while I have NO plans to destash, I think I’m going to decrease my buying frenzy and try to work my stash down to levels something like this.
What would your ideal stash have in it?

Y'know, there are lots of cotton sweaters in the thrift stores. A lot of them can be frogged for a large supply of cotton from one sweater.
I once frogged an ugly linen sweater for the yarn. (What was the manufacturer thinking? Plain linen sweater, except for a pattern that emphasized the HIPS!)

for me it would enough yarn for 1 more afghan, cotton yarn for dozen dish cloths, 3 skiens for some scarfs and multi toned for 2 afghans for nephews.

Enough sock yarn to be considered SABLE
Enough worsted weight of one colorway to make a whole blanket (or two) without having to hunt down matching dye lots
