    Default Peemie Patterns Needed

My friend is having triplets !!! (Identical sisters, fraternal brother)

Her due date is Jan 11, 2011, but the doctor is taking them a few days after Thanksgiving. She has been going crazy trying to find the preemie kimono type t-shirts because all 3 will be spending time in NICU.

I want to make her a small bag of teeny-tiny hats, booties and whatever else I can find EASY patterns for. Whatever she doesn't use, she can give to the NICU.

I have about 2 months to whip these things up. I have some patterns for hats, sweaters, booties... but one can never have enough, and I haven't found NICU friendly ones... and I know they are out there, I saw them before.
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

I can't help you with patterns any more - but I used to work in a NICU. NO METAL!! the babies will be under a radiant heat source, which can really overheat even the smallest snap and cause burns. Your best bet would be to contact the NICU, and ask for their recommendations. There are very specific rules about ties, snaps, velcro and the like.

I'd do a search for free preemie patterns, and specify the type i was looking for, ie. crocheted, sewn, knit, whatever! There are many charity websites with some preemie patterns.

Check out Touching Little Lives - an Ohio based charity for needy premature and newborn infants in Ohio They have knitting, sewing, and crochet patterns for free. Also, maybe check out ~ Bev's Country Cottage ~.

    Hope that helps!
