Default Knit my first dog sweater today

Well I finished it and it fits the smaller rat terrier. My first project since I started to learn to knit last week.

Just wanted to too my own horn lol.

I also was able to find 2 sets of 17 and 19 US needles in wood 71% off!

    I am really liking Bamboo.

What are the pros and cons of other types of needles. My Mom gave me 2 sets of large 17 and 19 in an acrylic but I am iffy on them. Also, the sizes too even though I bought the same sizes in wood on closeout.

I used an 8 on the doggy sweater.

I love the bamboo, but sometimes, if you are working with a more delicate yarn, or a ladder yarn, metal seems to work better.

I knit a cabled doggie sweater for one of my fosters last winter, and I found a really cool antique button to embellish the front of it.

I already gave it to my Moms dog. It seemed to be just a smidge to big for Pepper so now Togo has it. I will see about pictures.

I did get another pair of smaller bamboo needles yesterday and some peaches and cream thread and started dishrags.

I just stare at the needle selection trying to figure out what in the heck to buy lol. I printed off a list of needle sizes so I can keep notes in my purse of what I have in what material and size so I don't buy the same needle twice.

I have some coupons for 40% off Michaels and Hancocks so I will be taking advantage of that.

I am also going to make a roll up needle case. I have some Moda French General in my quilting fabric stash I have been really wanting to use!

Here is one I just finished for Olivia, my foster dog. I am waiting on the buttons, and it still needs to be blocked, but otherwise, I am happy with it. It is angora yarn I had left over from a sweater I knitted for myself, so it is uber-soft.

OMG how cute.. Could you find it in your heart the post the pattern? Please...

I just recently made do sweaters for the first time also... And I absolutly love my bamboo needles. I like natural things the feel of them etc. I also only like using natural yarns mostly cotton.

Absolutely. It is a free pattern, but I think you have to "subscribe" to Lion Brand yarn to get it:

Log In / Join the Lion Brand community to get free knitting and free crochet patterns and more!=

The buttons I purchased are pink glass with rhinestone borders, so I think it will look really cool (and be a pain in the you-know-what to wash) when it is done.

In case you have to do a search on the Lion Brand site, it is Pattern 90126AD (Sharkey).
