Dee, how does one add new yard in the middle?
I figured out how to do it if your at the end of the row, but how does one do it in the middle of your crocheting?

Make sure you have at least 8"-10" of yarn left, start the next stitch and pull through one loop only. Drop that yarn and pick up the yarn from the new skien and complete the stitch. Do a couple more stitches and then go back and knot the two ends together.
By doing a couple of stitches beyond where you attached the new skien, it is easier to tie the ends together. This way you won't have a knot trying to get into your work.
After you are done with the project (or several more rows) you can go back and weave the ends in with a darning needle. I weave in at least 4"-5" ends so if they come loose with use or washing I have enough to weave in again.
Does that make sense to you?~~ Dee ~~

I do the first part like sewcrafty, but I continue to work over the ends as I crochet- that way I don't have to weave in the ends later. I just place the loose ends along the top of the previous row and crochet over them as I go along.

Thanks Dee and Denise. When I get to the end of my skien, I'm going to see if I can do it has you've said. If I can't, I'll be back asking more questions. I'm almost at the end now.

I have done that also Denise, it just depends on the stitch I am using and how fat those 2 extra strands of yarn will make the row.
