Question about handmade baby afghan..
How much should I pay for one? I looked on ebay and prices range from $29.95 up to $175
I know a lot of work goes into making these but whats a decent price...???
I've tried making one and I get so mad lol I tried while pg and I ended up throwing the whole thing (needle and all) in the garbage.... I'm going to try again soon but I don't think it'll turn out.I've tried reading the pattern books and all that is hard to understand ..like trying to read chinese lol

The $29.95 sounds like a reasonable price. The $175
it better be made out of a pretty expensive yarn!
Personally I like nice soft baby yarns you can pick up at Wal*Mart for a $1 or $2 per skein. This is for a baby so you want to use it and it will be getting plenty of washings.
If you want to learn how to crochet, I'll help you all I can.

And Tammy, shes a really good teacher.
I too have to say the $175 should be made with gold and be top notch crocheting or knitting. Thats pretty expensive.
I'd pay $29.95 but again, it would have to be well done. Let us know what you decide to do.

aww what a sweetie Dee....Thank you so very much!!!

Once I get some yarn (and a new needle
) I'll be bugging the daylights out of you with questions
I can do just the basic chain but I don't think a afghan would look all that great like that...of course I'm sure Jayme wouldn't notice lol
Here's the link to a afghan (not a baby one) but she does say she uses the red heart yarn.....

Tammy I do like the pattern of the afghan you posted, BUT I still think its quite a high price to pay. Wonder if she'll sell it.

Thank you CJ, what a lovely compliment!
Tammy, bug me as much as you want.
I don't have the energy to do much these days, but I have found I can knit or crochet just sitting in my chair. Gives me something productive to do!
5 skeins held together!
That is one heavy afghan!
This afghan is knit Tammy if you didn't know. I know you can crochet and make a cable but I can't remember how right now???
I'm sure we could find a nice easy pattern for you to start with on the net. That way we could both see it and not have to worry whether we both had the same leaflet in front of us.
