See my afghan..
Well,it's not done but it's been in the works for...let's see...5 years
(and don't ask why I picked THIS yarn out-it's ugly lol) I'll finish this for Katie (maybe her dolls will like it) and then maybe do Jayme a soft pink
I don't think I'm doing anymore than just a basic chain....am I? lol

Looks like single crochet to me and a darn good job of it at that!!! Keep going, the good thing about crochet is that it goes fast.
I am thinking of doing one for my dd to take back to college with her. I think it will be a good, but frugal gift.

afghans are easy because they are very tolerant of small mistakes...good place to start.
I am laughing because I always used to make my grandma pot holders from crocheted squares...I bet they were so thin that she would have never dared use them for that.
