sign me up!
I'd like to join; I've spent a lifetime on needle-crafting:
-sewing: family clothing, tailoring, alterations, repair, home decoration, crafts
-quilting: wool-carding, patch-work quilts
-embroidery: dish towels
-crochet: doilies, afghans, rugs, miscellaneous, clothing & accessories
-knitting: babies, kids, adults (clothing: hats, scarves, mitts, socks, sweaters and accessories); miscellaneous
-rug making: braided, crochetted, woven on rug-frame
Mom had a spinning wheel and spun her own wool into yarn; knitted heavy woolen socks mostly; and we would card wool for wool quilt batting for our patchwork quilts.
Right now, my hands have some problems with crippling, but I'm working on handmade rag rugs for gifts; I'm using various patterns: rectangle, oval, round, hanf-circle, heart

Hi,
I'm brand new to frugalvillage. I can't seem to find anywhere on here that tells me about what a club on here is. I joined FV mostly to connect more with other crafters. I've done sewing for years and I'm just starting to play with embroidery and smocking.

The "clubs" are kind of loose, carperisio, because FV has so many members, all with similar but not necessarily identical interests.

I would suggest you go to forums and check out the challenges. They are probably the closest thing to a club here, since like-minded people will post under specific challenges. There are several under needlework and crafts that you could hop into.
Welcome to FV, btw!DH aka Mad Hen

You can join, although as you can see from the dates of activity, there isn't much going on in the actual club threads. By joining, however, I think you are supposed to get one of the "buttons" under your name. For example, if you look under my name (to the left), there are several little graphics, including one with a basket of yarn. I think it is there because I "officially" joined needlearts club at some point. You can get the same thing, however, by just sending a PM to one of the moderators and asking for it.
