My crochet and knit projects......
First let me apologise for the quality of the pics. I take lousy pictures as it is, but it was dark in the house too!
Here is the afghan I just finished. This is done with the crochenit hook and yarn I had laying around. It isn't very big, just a tad larger than a lapghan. I didn't add fringe like the pattern called for as I don't care for it. It is reversible.

This afghan I made about 8 years ago. It is out of dazzelaire yarn which is fuzzy and very soft. It is crocheted using chains, single crochet and double crochet stitches, very easy.

This knitted sweater is my favorite!
It is the stockinette stitch in reverse (purl side showing) with a decorative stitch on the front only. It is made out of Caron Simply Soft yarn and boy is it! Washes in the washer and dries in the dryer beautiful.

This next knitted sweater is just a basic crew neck pullover using varigated yarn. It is in the stockinette stitch and is over sized so it covers my butt!

Thanks girls and yes Carolyn, you may come to tea and lessons!

Well, that crochenit hook is fairly big (I think about a size L or M (8.0mm or 9.0mm) and each panel was only 19 stitches wide by 245 rows long so it didn't take long sitting in front of the boob tube.I'm still shaking my head here and wondering how on earth you got that first afghan done so quickly.

Okay Dee, I'm still shaking my head. Your learning a new craft and your doing it while sitting in front of the tv. Crumb, when I crochet, I can't even have the radio on.
I can't do 2 things at once. Your one amazing lady.

Awesome! It's so great to see something with that crochenit. You did put that together really fast.
Your work is just incredible! I hope that I can someday be as good in crochet. You're amazing at it and knitting and sewing too.If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. Now you all have me blushing. I didn't want you all to think I don't actually do the stuff I am giving advice on. I love making things and having someone to talk to about my hobbies is a novelty to me. Most of my family aren't interested unless they are the recipient of the item being made (usually to order).
When I was walking around the house this morning, camera in hand, even I was startled by how many items I have made over the years and that doesn't count the stuff in the closet!
I know I have 9 more afghans, 8 rugs and many cat blankets in there. I haven't taken pics of the computer room curtains or the sewing room ones or the shades I'm in the process of making for our "closet room" and I made shades for the back porch.
I haven't bought ready made anything in so long, when I look at them in the store I am shocked at the prices!
So when I get long winded (like now) on my favorite hobbies, just tell me to shut up!
