    Talking how i kept busy

here's what i did to keep myself busy recently when i couldn't get online. first is a washcloth i did. I made the pattern myself. pretty easy. I will post the directions later once i find my graph paper i wrote it on... it is knit with a crochet "border"

here's the pattern for the washcloth:
using sz 6 straight needles. cast on 51 sts.
Rows 1-12 st st (stockingette stitch) ending in a purl row (WS)
    Row 13 K25 P1 K25
    Row 14 P24 K3 P24
    Row 15 K23 P5 K23
    Row 16 P22 K7 P22
    Row 17 K21 P9 K21
    Row 18 P20 K11 P20
    Row 19 K19 P13 K19
    Row 20 P18 K15 P18
    Row 21 K17 P17 K17
    Row 22 P16 K19 P16
    Row 23 K15 P21 K15
    Row 24 P14 K23 P14
    Row 25 K13 P25 K13
    Row 26 P12 K27 P12
    Row 27 K11 P19 K11
    Row 28 P10 K31 P10
Rows 29-35 knit (purl) even retaining pattern
    Row 36 P11 K14 P1 K14 P11
    Row 37 K12 P12 K3 P12 K12
    Row 38 P13 K10 P5 K10 P13
    Row 39 K14 P8 K7 P8 K14
    Row 40 P15 K6 P9 K6 P15
Rows 41-51 St st (stockingette st

Now what I did was switch to a sz F or G crochet hook. ch 3 sk a few sts, sl st. Do this in a manner as to create 15 evenly spaced loops along the edge of the first edge. Repeat for other three edges. Now that you have loops along all four edges create shells between the loops using 3dc between ea loop. Sl St into center of ea loop. repeat all the way around all four edges. Fasten off.

I hope that all makes sense, i just took notes as I did the edging as I was doing it. I will try my best to explain what i did in another way if anyone has trouble with how i wrote it out.

    Enjoy

I get it, it makes sense from the knitting point of view. I still don't know how to crochet but that seems clear too, good pattern.
