Village Granny Square Afghan Contest!
Village Granny Square Afghan Contest
If you would like to be a part of our Village Granny Square Afghan Contest, please sign up below. The contest is open to all Needle Art Club members.
Rules
1) Granny squares must be between 6” and 7” square in size.
2) You must use the Basic Granny Square pattern in the tutorial. This way all members no matter their level of skill may be a part of the contest..
3) You must use 4 ply worsted weight yarn. Ideally Red Heart yarn, then they will all match in weight and consistency and is the easiest for everyone to obtain.
4) You may use any color except white.
5) You may enter as many squares as you like.
6) All ends must be woven in.
7) You will have until April 15, 2004 to mail the squares to me.
On Apr. 20th, I will put each person’s name in a hat, 1 for each square entered and my hubby Jack will pick the winner. For instance if Mary sends me 4 squares, her name will go in the hat 4 times.
I will then put the granny squares together in an afghan and mail it off to the lucky winner!
So all you crocheter’s out there, get out those hooks and join us in making our Village Granny Square Afghan!
Please pm me if you need my address.~~ Dee ~~

Does it matter how much or how little you change colors while making the square?

No Darlene, any way you want just as long as they come out between 6" and 7" and you weave your ends in! That last part was for me!
