    Default crytallite hook mishap lol

    well I made 11 granny squares and my crystallite hook snapped. So.....I don't think these hooks are very durable. lol
    I'm a loose crocheter, so it's not a matter of placing too much pressure on the hook.

    I was definitely shocked when it busted in my hand.

    Wow Sara, I never heard of a crochet hook snapping. Could you write the company and see what they have to say about it. Maybe they'll send you a couple of new ones.

    Sara, you don't know your own strength, LOL. I am sorry that your hook snapped. I agree with the others, I think you should write to Susan Bates and let them know what happened, I bet they will make it right.

    I posted this to a crochet group and received back quite a few replies. They said the g hook snaps often and some people have had them replaced a couple of times.

    At least they'll replace them. I'll call them tomorrow.

    Well that settles that question I had, I won't be buying that set. I have the set with L, M, N and P hooks but they are thick so I don't think they will snap!

    I wanted to try them too. Now I think i will get the bigger set instead of both. I wonder if the knitting needles have the same problems?
