Exclamation Needle Arts Club Contest Day 2

You will have to unscramble the word and give a short description of what that word means or does and where and when you would use it in a particular needle art. If you can find a picture online and post it, that would be great too.

Today's word is worth 2 points.

Continental Stitch: The continental stitch was, and often still is, used in English and European tapestries. It is often referred to as the "straight line" stitch. If the stitch is used throughout the woven canvas, it tends to warp the canvas, making it much more difficult to block square when the piece is completed.
