Rnd 1: Ch 5, sl st in first ch to form ring, ch 2 (counts as first hdc), 17 hdc in ring, join with sl st in top of beg ch-2. (18 hdc) Rnd 2: Working in back lps only of rnd 1, (ch 3, sc) in each st around, ch 3, join with sl st in first ch of beg ch-3. Rnd 3: Working in rem front lps of rnd 1, (ch 3, sc) in each st around, ch 3, join with sl st in first ch-3 sp of rnd 2. Row 4: Now working in rows, (ch 3, 3 dc) in joining st of last rnd, ch 2, 4 dc in next ch-3 sp, turn. Rows 5–18: Sl st in each of first 4 sts, (sl st, ch 3, 3 dc, ch 2, 4 dc) in ch-2 sp, turn. At end of last row, fasten off.
