Finished another afghan for the kids
They love to play with blankets, so I made another. It's a lot like the last one, but a little different in the stitches.

I love it! I can't say that I have the patience for a afghan. I have only ever finished a few in my life. I do much better with small items. You did a fantastic job, the kids will love it.

The last two were sooooo easy. I've been trying to build my confidence by making some quick and easy projects. If it's too difficult, I won't ever complete a project. I have over 300 squares sitting and waiting to be assembled and I keep trying and can't get it right. They'll be set aside for eternity.
I'm looking for a couple more afghan projects and then I'm done with afghans for a bit and will move onto something new. lolIf you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. Sara, have your tried ripple afghans? I think they are easy- and if you do them in double crochet- they work up pretty quickly.

Very nice afghan Sara. I love the colors.
I love ripple afghans too Denise, but I knit mine. They do work up really quickly and are so pretty done in verigated wool.

Yep. The ripple was my second afghan I ever did.
Here's a picture.

Not very good planning on this one. lol My dye lots on the variegated yarn were off and it is definitely a HUGE afghan. It's on a queen sized bed there and could fit a king. lolIf you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online.
