Talking I'm Headed For A Crochet Class.

I just found a Crochet Class that I can join and it's very close to my house. It cost $2.00 for each lesson and lasts from 2:00 to 4:00 every Tuesday.

I'm so very excited because I will be with others. I get so lonely and scared (due to my health issues) during the day and now I have somewhere to go and socialize and learn how to crochet.

They also teach knitting and in October they will be teaching quilting.

The place where the classes are being held is a Fabric and Notions shop. The owner has mostly quilting material and the prices are not bad at all.

I will let you all know how it goes.

Now that sounds awesome! Have fun. I wish we had more than the one crochet class I took here. Something ongoing would be a blast.

$2/class is a steal. Enjoy your classes.

Hi, I'm back! What a great time I had. I tried to learn how to make a granny square but I gave up about the middle of the class and told our teacher that I needed to do something easier so she has me started on a potholder. It is easy and the teacher is so patient.

There were 7 of us in the class and we all chatted and worked on our projects and it was just so much fun and relaxing and the time just flew by.

I showed them one of my afghans and they all raved about how pretty it was and there was a lady there who had had a stroke and she was having trouble with the small crochet hooks so the teacher showed her my afghan and told her about the big hook I used and she gave her a Q-hook (big) and told her how to make the size I made and she was so tickeled and said she was going right home and get her yarn and start making the new afghan. So, I felt like that was the reason that I was there today. I know there is always a reason for why things happen like they do and I prayed before I left the house that I would somehow be able to be a blessing to someone at the class.

I can't wait to go next Tuesday. I'm just so thankfull for this class because I have been praying that I could find something to do so that I wouldn't be home alone all the time.

I can't wait to tell dh about my day.

Your class sounds really great. I'm glad it is going well for you and that you have a patient teacher. So glad that the other lady was able to find something that worked for her. I would love to go to a crochet class. I'm slowly teaching myself. In fact tonight I realized I had been doing something wrong on the dishcloth I was making. I started all over, and I went so much quicker than I did the last time. I can tell I'm starting to get it. Good luck to you!

I finished the potholder and it looks great! I started another one in class and guess what!!!!!!! It was wayyy to small, lol. So I ripped it apart and started over again and it is still wayyyy to small!!! So I finished it up anyway since my hands are small I don't need a huge potholder, hehehe.

I started another one and it is looking more the right size. Still not sure what I did wrong but I'll find out Tuesday in class.

I'm really enjoying the chatting part of the class and getting to know the ladies.
