Unhappy NA Club Members - Please accept my sincere apology...

I am beyond being mortified and am just downright immensly embarrassed.

Please everyone accept my sincere apologies. I was in charge of putting the Village Granny Square Afghan together from our contest in the spring and did. I thought I had mailed it out to Denise (the winner), but she pm'd me yesterday to say she never received it.

Well I looked for my shipping invoice to no avail, so I started searching and found them in a tote where I must have put them when I was doing the Spring Fling.

I cannot tell you all how embarrassed I am about this.

Here are the 2 afghans that were made out of all the granny squares I received.

Denise, please choose which one you would like and I will get it right out to you. I am so so sorry.

Dee. If you remember what that room looked like before & after the fling it's no surprise you missplaced them. There was a lot of flinging going on.

They sure came out nice, thanks again for putting them together & having the contest.

I spotted a square I did. Dee, you did a great job of putting them all together.

Dee- it's ok, really. I was just afraid that it had gotten "lost" in the mail (I'm really thinking that someone is messing with my mail, as several things including bills have turned up missing lately)

Either afghan is fine with me--- I love them both! I was thinking I would give it to my coworker that has cancer. They sent her to hospice today. I thought I'd tell about all of the wonderful ladies that worked to make it special!

    Sorry to delay all:

I took the afghan to Kathy on Friday after work. She was thrilled-- just like a kid on Christmas morning. Couldln't wait to open her package. I kept telling her about all the lovely ladies at the "village" and how they each contributed their squares, how it was lovingly put together and sent across the miles for me to give to her. She just kept shaking her head and marveling at how beautiful it is. . . . how she couldn't believe people would really do things like that. . . . . Several of the nurses came in and commented on the afghan and Kathy spoke right up and told her about all my friends that helped make it

This morning they called us at work to tell us that Kathy had slipped into a coma and they don't expect her to live through the night. Another of my coworkers was at her bedside (staying around the clock) called us. In the conversation she commented " you should see the afghan some friend's of Denise's made! It's awesome, and Kathy is still wrapped in it."
