Started a new project....
I started a new project last night. These all nighters I gotta do something!

So I have a huge tote full of baby yarn so I started a baby blanket. Just a simple crochet stitch and in all white right now but I may trim it with another color, haven't decided yet.
Anyone else working on anything?~~ Dee ~~

Since Christmas my dd's have requested scarves, So I finished DD#2 Thursday and am about half way done with dd#3's. But I have several UFO's to get done!!
What do you do when you are about halfway through a crochet project, and it's just not turning out like you would like it too. Would you continue on, or do you rip it back out and use the yarn for something different??

I still have that sweater for hannah hanging non the knitting machine. I just can't reach the latches so comfortably any more. At least with a keyboard I can pick it up and move it to where i can get around my baby belly. I did though start a hand knit washcloth for my mom's goody bag so I have that going right now.

I am working on socks for my Mom - crazy stripes for an 84 y/o! LOL! Then I will be doing another kids poncho and a few more fuzzy scarves. After that I am going to make myself a sweater with the leftovers. Cheryl's coat of many colors huh?

Darlene

Chelle ~I'll get there!
Arlene ~ I would rip it out and use it for something else or try another pattern stitch.
Missy ~ When you do get back to Hanna's sweater, you will have to unknit a few rows or it will have a permanant line in it that washing won't get out.
I like the dishcloth idea, fast, easy and instant gratification of completing something.
daddy3chicks ~ WOW!! You are busy!
Can't wait to see your coat, I bet it comes out beautiful!

You're welcome Missy
And that is for hand knitting too. I have started a project and then put it away until fall and you have to unknit a few rows or it will have permanant marks where it sat on the needles.~~ Dee ~~

rip it out and start over!
i did that with ds's blanket that i am STILL working on. it was supposed to be a christmas gift. thankfully he's very patient with his momma's slow crocheting. but by ripping it out and starting over, i am farther along than if i had just kept going. of corse it helps that i changed to a bigger hook and a double crochet instead of a single.
i have a few UFO's lurking about: poncho for me, blanket and doll for dd. former boss wants me to make a doll for her granddaughter, but i just don't want to be harped on and pestered about it so i don't htink i will.wife to carl

I haven't done any crochet projects since the scarves. I miss doing my crochet at night when the kids are sleeping and gabe and I are watching tv.
My yarn stash has dwindled too.
I should go and get a few skeins and start something new and fun.
I'm glad you started a project. I think crochet projects are relaxing. Post a pic when your done. I love seeing your work.If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. I did what you suggested and ripped out a few rows (6) and redid it. i got the neck done with ribbing and backstitched. got it off the machine seamed the second shoulder on the machine. then backstitched that and now it is off the machine waitiing the next step (arms).

I am working on a handknit sweater right now for me
If I start something and I don't like the way it is turning out I will always rip it out and start over.
I really envy those of you who have knitting machines. That is something I hope to get one day.
