Default ISO very easy pattern for baby blankets.

I was invited to a last-minute baby shower over the holidays. With no time to shop, all I could do was give a gift certificate, and, since I didn't want to appear cheap, I spent more than I wanted.

I can knit and crochet a bit. About 38 years ago, I crocheted an afghan. And I'm knitting a fuzzy scarf for DD.

Anyway, 2 woman gave wonderful, soft, homemade baby blankets. They used specialty yarns -- and they got rave reviews.

I'd like to make some baby blankets like that for my gift stash.

    Any suggestions?

I forgot to say that if you are using a specialty yarn, the simpler the stitch the better. You can't always see a fancy stitch with some of these yarns, so why bother? The focus should be on the yarn itself. Just my
