    Default started a new afghan

Nothing fancy and a super easy pattern, but with everyone crocheting away, I started getting antsy to start something too.

    I'm doing this pattern:

I don't have enough to make it solid, so will be doing thin stripes in peaches, lavender, and pastel blue, and a variegated that has those colors.

Ch an even number of chs.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, and in each sc across. (Number of sc will be number of chs minus 1)
    Row 2: Ch 4, turn, sk 1 st, 1 dc, * ch1, sk 1 st, 1 dc *, rep * across.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, * 2 sc in ch sp *, rep * across.
Row 4: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across.
Repeat rows 2-4 until afghan is desired length, end off.

    Cute.

My SIL had Vanna White's afghan book out here this weekend. There were a couple of cute afghans in it I'd like to make for the kids.
