Do you take your craft with you when you go somewhere?

I generally crochet in the car on long trips and keep something in there for the carpool line. I sometimes crochet outside when the girls are playing and have even taken it to the pool!

I use to however now that I'm the main driver I don't.

I've taken my crafts along with me on vacation

. Its usually cross stitch or stamping, something that is easy to pack. In the past I've made my Christmas cards in July when in Mexico while its hot and humid. I revisit (in my mind) our vacation when December comes and its time to mail the cards out.

I do only if I know I'm going to be waiting over an hour somewhere and the project is still small. I've never tried crocheting in the car. When I go on vacation I take something new that I've never done before and maybe is a challenge just to have the time to learn it.

yep, i take it in the car when dh is driving. i'll take it to teh inlaw's house if we are going to be there a while. i take it to work to get a few rows in on my break. if i didn't take my projects with me, i might never get them done.
i have even taken projects to soccer games. but they have to be simple ones like pot holders or scarves so i can crochet and watch the game at the same time.
