The knifty Knitter looms are too big for actual socks, but you CAN make slippers with them! I made some camping a few years ago. Thanks for the reminder. If I can find the pattern I used I'll let you know.
I'm looking for what to do with my rectangle knifty knitter..lol. Got here, and lots of yarn...

I don't have a pattern but you could make shawls with the rectangle. Make it just like a scarf and not joining the last peg with the first peg like if you are making a hat. does that make sense. I love my looms...and have plenty of yarn stash to use up. LOL

I love mine. They are very addictive. I have mostly made hats. You can buy more professionally made looms that have the little prongs closer together so you can make more detailed things. I'd love to get an adjustable loom to make things with. I'm going to make my nephews some hats this Christmas. They are also so easy to use. I do not know how to knit or crochet at all, and you can whip up something that looks like you do in no time! There are a bunch of other loom knitting groups on Yahoo to check out too. Most of those sites have links you can go to that have patterns and such. Good luck!

I have one of the round looms and last year I knitted hats on it to match the scarves I knitted for Christmas presents. They were a big hit. And it is alot of fun to use them!

Anyboy own a Knifty Knitter or other...
type of knitting loom? I just bought a long loom from Hobby Lobby and am going to try and teach myself how to knit. I understand it's supposed to be a lot faster than using knitting needles. Thoughts on this? Also, I haven't had a lot of luck in finding any patterns that utilize these looms so if anyone has any sites that they have found any patterns on, I'd appreciate a heads up.

I've inherited a small square pegged loom that was left at my son's house. It looks like something you make potholders with. It was called a lap loom but the work looked nothing like knitting to me. Is that the same thing? I'll have to go back and look up the company name because they are out of business. Anywho, that's what got me started on this whole thing...
The bad thing is I just got through with rotator cuff surgery and can't do a whole lot yet.

Sorry folks, It seems that I have forgotten how to even reply or anything since I've been away from the village. The previous "reply" was directed to Sara concerning the square loom. Brain burp or power surge going on here....Mea Culpa, again.

Ya'll have a happy Easter!

This book has projects using the oval loom. Maybe you can get it at your library or on Ebay or half.com?
